I have embarked on a quest.
I want to know God. I want to truly understand what is required of me as a Christian. I want to search God's Word and discover what it means to live a life that is totally committed to Him and His teachings. I don't want to settle for a life of less than radical obedience to the commands of God. I want to study in depth who God is so that I can understand more fully who Christ is and my ultimate dependance upon Him. I want to learn to pursue God like one pursues a treasure of unmeasurable worth. I want to live focused on Christ and what He has done for me. I want to boldly and unashamedly proclaim the truth of the Gospel.
This is my quest. And with the help of God, I am committed to not turning back.
"Jesus replied, 'Love the Lord your God with all of your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment.'"
This is the first and greatest commandment.'"
Matthew 22:37-38
That's makes two of us! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post and that's exactly exac-a-ti-ca-lly where I am. Pursuit. In pursuit, seeking God. The Holy Spirit lead me to start the Bible from beginning to end just in the right time and it's just mind boggling. Our God is so amazing, so creative, so jealous for us. Super happy for you Rebekah!
~God bless
Well said! Praying for you on this journey! :)
ReplyDeleteCan you share with us some things that you're doing on this pursuit? I'm in the same spot, and would really enjoy hearing what you have to say :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!

Hi Bethany!
DeleteYes, I'm planning on sharing some of the things that God has been teaching me! I think it is wonderful that so many other young women are seeking to grow in the Lord too. Keep pressing on towards the goal!

Thank you so much, Rebekah! I will excitedly looking forward to your post. When I read your post yesterday, I was just like "Wow, that is so neat! She's doing the same thing I'm doing as well!!"
DeleteThanks for the encouragement!

Amen! Same here Rebekah!
ReplyDeleteHello Rebekah, from across the water.
ReplyDeleteSecond Timothy chapter two verse 15 says:
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
What you are doing is exactly what God would have you to do. If you search the scripture, you will find the truth, and remember to search prayerfully.
The more time you spend in the scriptures, the more you will start to understand and the closer you will become to the Lord.
God bless you.
