Hello, there! I'm Rebekah - an Iowa farmgirl, homeschool graduate, and sister to six. More important than anything, I am a child of the One true King - a sinner who has been saved by the grace of God. I'm still learning what it means to live a life completely and totally dedicated to following the Lord, and I'm so thankful for His never ending, unconditional love!
I can often be found with camera in hand, or perhaps doing something that involves the outdoors. I love journals with soft, textured paper, the crinkle of notebooks stuffed full of words, velvety muzzles of horses, the scent of freshly cut hay, satisfaction that comes with a job well done, riding horseback while the wind plays with my hair, and worship music playing through my headphones.
I'm a chocolate-eating, coffee-drinking kind of gal that will gladly sit down and have heart to heart talks with friends over a steaming mexican mocha. I absolutely love my family and friends, but I'm also one who enjoys slipping out into the quietness of the woods to spend time in prayer, Bible reading, and journaling. And on those chilly winter evenings, just give me a warm cup o' tea and a good book and I'll be set.
The people of Africa have a special place in my heart, and I'm excited to see how the Lord will use that. There are so many people in the world who have never seen the love of Christ, and it is my desire to share that with them.
Treasuring Today is my little online notebook where I can share thoughts, life, photos, inspiration, and lessons the Lord is teaching me.
