Keeping it Simple (A Photo Challenge)

{I forgot to mention this in my last post...so I guess I'll just do two posts today!}

Do you ever feel like photography isn't what it used to be? When there were film cameras, you took a picture to the best of your ability, and it was what it was. Don't get me wrong...I love playing around with photos on the computer and seeing how I can edit them, but there is always that feeling of accomplishment when you download pictures from your camera to find that some of them don't need editing! The color is right, the angle is perfect, and no cropping is needed.

So that is where this challenge begins. I'll admit, almost all of the photos that I've posted for the 52 photo challenge so far have been edited a little bit in one way or another. So I've decided that for the next 4 weeks, my photos for the 52 challenge will be unedited. No contrast. No color correction. No editing. And even...no cropping. I'm kind of freaking myself out because I have no idea how I'll do this, but (I think) I'll manage.

Keeping it Simple {A Photo Challenge}

I'm doing this challenge beginning March 6th and ending April 2nd.

This may be rather "informal"...no link up, no button...just a simple photo challenge, but I'd still love to have you join me (and if you want to spread the word about it...)! You don't have to be doing the 52 Challenge to do this...I just chose to do it along with that challenge to encourage myself to get out and take some photos, while really focusing on the lighting, camera settings, and angles. And remember...no photo editing :)

Let me know if you have questions or want me to clarify something that I didn't explain well enough. I'd also love to know if you are planning on taking the challenge!

  2. Hi Rebekah!
    I've been meaning to comment on here...I apologize that it has taken me so long to actually do it! Anyway, I wanted to let you know that I am planning to participate in your little photography challenge =) I haven't worked on photography near enough lately, so this will be a good time to start again.
    Blessings,
    Amy
